As a private dental clinic, we are able to spend time with our patients, learning about their goals and developing a relationship based on trust.

Dr Sinan Najar, BDS
Principal Dentist
Avondale dentist Dr Sinan Najar attended the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry, earning his BDS in 1990. He also participated in a progressive orthodontic training program to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to provide our patients with traditional orthodontics, Invisalign and Six Month Smiles.
Dr Najar is a current member of the following organisations:
- Auckland Dental Association
- Former Committee Member and Treasurer of Auckland Dental Association
- Founding Member of New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
- Member of New Zealand Society of Sedation Dentistry

When away from the clinic, you will find Dr Najar playing soccer, swimming, playing sport with his children and walking with his dog.

Priyanka D'cruz, BDS
Oral Health Therapist
Priyanka earned her Bachelor of Science degree before advancing her education with her Bachelor of Oral Health degree. She is the past Secretary of the New Zealand Dental Hygienists Association (Auckland) and joined the Avondale Dental Centre team in 2015.
'I love meeting and getting to know people from different walks of life as well as helping and motivating people to have a great smile and to feel good about themselves. I love to bake. I love food. Ironically, I also love to keep fit and healthy by spending some alone quality time with my headphones at the gym or outdoors.'

Aimee Westbury
Oral Health Therapist
Aimee graduated in Oral Health from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in December 2012.
She started her oral health career in orthodontics as an Orthodontic Auxiliary for three years, where she learned cutting edge techniques and tools. Her passion for Dental hygiene led her to find a career in Hygiene where she moved to Tauranga for five years and looked after a wide variety of patients within the Western Bay of Plenty area
She finds Dental Hygiene personally rewarding and gets a lot of personal satisfaction from giving patients a healthy white smile. She enjoys creating a safe and comfortable environment for patients. She is committed to providing a high standard of work and delivering a positive dental experience.
Outside of work, Aimee loves being out in nature, working out, swimming, painting and drawing, music and good food!

Cabrini Anderson, BHScOH
Hygienist
Cabrini’s passion for oral health and patient care has led her to gain both Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy scopes of practice. Graduating from AUT she was awarded 'Best Preventative Strategies and Clinical Management' from NZDHA. Since this time she has enjoyed working as both a clinician in private practice and a clinical educator for the oral health department at AUT. You will find her patient-focused and committed to providing individual-based preventative treatment plans in a warm and friendly environment.
In her spare time, Cabrini loves to spend time with her family and friends. Especially her little one year old boy, who is a little outdoor adventurer and they will easily spend hours on the weekend exploring local gardens and parks.

Aileen Henry
Receptionist/Practice Manager
Aileen is often the first face you will see when you visit our clinic. She joined our team in May 2000 and helps patients enjoy a cheerful welcome and successful visit.
'I enjoy helping patients and the wide variety of tasks required throughout my day.'
When Aileen is away from the clinic, you will most often find her catching up with friends, walking her dogs, gardening, reading and travelling.

Lisa Marsh
Dental Assistant
Lisa is an Auckland native and earned her Certificate in Dental Assisting in 1988.
Additional Certifications:
- Level-4 Qualified by New Zealand Resuscitation Council
- Certified in Sterilisation and Infection Control
As an assistant, Lisa has the opportunity to get to know our patients and assist Dr Najar in a wide variety of procedures. She joined our team in 2011.
When Lisa is relaxing, you can find her walking, gardening and spending time with family.

Katy Zander
Dental Assistant
Katy has successfully completed her Certificate in Dental Assisting. She is a great asset to our team here at Avondale Dental Centre. Her friendly and caring manner will make you feel welcome.
Outside of work, Katy enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, going to the gym as well as adventuring outdoors finding new hiking places around Auckland.
